Programme Aim
On completion of this programme learners will have the skills, knowledge and competencies to work in a social care setting. This 1 year course has been developed for learners who wish to pursue a career in social care services in either the private, public or voluntary sector and or to progress on to higher education or training.

- Applicants will be expected to have Leaving Certificate, QQI Level 5 Award or equivalent standard of education.
- Included in the Admission process is an interview followed by an online assessment in Mathematics and English.
- All applicants are subject to an interview.
Students who successfully complete this course may apply to develop their knowledge on further education courses at level 6 and 7.
