Access to Education and Training (QQI Level 4) - Full Time

Programme Aim

This full-time programme presents the learner with the opportunities to develop their skills to pursue a range of employment possibilities. It can allow the learner to progress to Further Education and Training. The course provides the learner with a choice of three streams of study, which include either an Introduction to Healthcare Support, Introduction to Office Administration or an Introduction to Applied Social Studies. 

Entry Requirements

  • A minimum of QQI Level 3 in Junior Cert English and Maths (Ordinary Level)
  • Word Processing QQI Level 3 or be able to provide a working knowledge of English and Maths
  • Satisfactory interview process
  • Completion of the BKSB Online Assessment in Maths and English

Course Duration

This is a 1 year full time PLC course.

Progression

On successfully completing the programme learners will be in a good position to progress onto further education courses offered from within the Centre. These include a choice of either Healthcare Support Level 5 – 5M4339, Office Administration Level 5 – 5M1997 and Applied Social Studies Level 5 – 5M2181.

This course is offered free to learners.
