English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) - Part Time
Programme Aim
This part time course aims to provide the learner with the knowledge, skills and competence to communicate socially in work related tasks at an elementary level in English.The course has also been designed to suit the needs of those wishing to improve their English language skills in order to gain employment or progress into both further and higher education in Ireland. At the end of the course students will have improved their proficiency in English by identifying and rectifying frequent errors in both spoken and written English and gained more confidence in a range of listening contexts.
Entry Requirements
- No formal education or qualifications are required.
- Applicants must have a motivation to learn, an interest in the subject and the ability to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies set out in the course.
- Applicants must be able to demonstrate an elementary range of knowledge, skills and competencies relevant to the course and be able to work under direction.
