Previously known as Laois Third Level our new Lifelong Learning Department at Portarlington Further Education and Training Centre is able to offer a range of undergraduate and industry recognised professionally certified programmes on a part-time basis

The Lifelong Learning Department team are dedicated to supporting those students who make an investment in life-long learning by establishing and maintaining an excellent working partnership between our students and their lecturers. In today’s economic climate, we understand the importance of achieving a good work/life balance. By providing our students with the opportunity to successfully combine their study, their work and their family commitments.

Together with our education partners, we provide a range of excellent part-time courses for students in the wider Leinster area, Whether you choose to study for a certificate, a diploma or a degree course, we are certain that you will find that the long term personal and financial payback will far exceed the initial cost of the course investment.

Portarlington Further Education and Training Centre, in association with The Institute of Public Administration, a recognised college of UCD (IPA/UCD), Accounting Technicians Ireland (ATI), University College Cork (UCC) and IPASS offer you the following suite of part-time programmes that may commence in September 2024.
