Portarlington Further Education and Training Centre offer a range of further education and higher education courses. We are able to offer these courses as full time or part time programs.
What is Community Education? It is about creating opportunities for people to identify their learning needs and learn in their own community. A Community Education programme aims to Build community participation, Address social isolation, Engage vulnerable adults, Develop active citizenship and Address educational needs. Our ethos is to promote social inclusion for all groups and engage specifically with socially disadvantaged adults. Programme Duration Usually 6 to 8 weeks with a minimum of 10 people.
